Welcome to the Official Dinah Sheridan website.
Dinah Sheridan's career has spanned six decades and encompasses modelling (her parents were the Royal Photographers) along with stage, cinema and
television acting roles: with Genevieve, The Railway Children, Dr Who, and Don't Wait Up being the
most fondly remembered and highly regarded.
Dinah knew from an early age that she was
destined for a career in showbusiness. Her
chance came with the opportunity to train at
the famous Italia Conti school and to this day
she proudly retains the payslip from her first
stage appearance at age twelve in "Where
The Rainbow Ends" at the Holborn Empire,
London for 30 shillings.
In more recent years Dinah was a popular
returning guest on shows such as Countdown
and Crosswits, challenging her grey matter in
words and conundrums.
Dinah is the mother of actress and presenter Jenny Hanley, and former Conservative Party Chairman Sir Jeremy Hanley.
Although now retired from acting work, Dinah is often interviewed and is an avid silver surfer!
